05 GMC YUKON Denali Trans 1-2 slip, 2-3 second hes

Recommended Posts

My wife's 05 Denali's tranny is going out with 24K miles. All the dealers in my immediate area are scum so I decided to try Lexington, Ky's biggest gm dealer(Glenn) out for warranty work. Note: this is my wife's, driven by my wife and has no mods other than getting the computer calibrated for the 20 inch rims and a little fuel/spark tweaking done by a reputable tuner for GM vehicles. Glenn is claiming since a GM dealer did not do the calibration my warranty is VOID!!!?? Before the dealer hear in H-burg tried to scam my unsuspecting wife for $800 on some rotors and pads they would fix anything on my SS even if it was my fault. The service manager got more excited about my mods than I did. But I refuse to go back after what they did to her so I now need to find another GM dealer considering that all I drive. Now I am afraid that I am red flagged in the GM service database and will be unable to try another dealer.

Can anyone shed any light on this issue or give some advice on my next step.

I really feel this is a bunch of bulls**t, but I am open to opinions.

TIA

ive always wondered about the gm database too, but thats awefully early for transmission work, also if they dont blame it on the tune then they will blame it on the rims. Your best bet is to return the tune to stock and put on the stock tires and take it in to another dealership

if that doesnt work the try an flp build, itll cost some money but itll last longer than anything on the truck. If worst comes to worst you could always try an synthetic atf flush and have a shop put in a shift kit or check line pressure and check out the solenoids and pistons b/c im more than sure the clutch packs are still good
