'03 Headlight switch fit earlier model?

One of my Yukon XL's is an '02. I'd like to swap out the headlight switch for an '03 or newer one that allows you to completely turn off the lights. Does anyone know if the switch will just plug in?

Not too sure if it will work on the Yukon XL but, it worked on my Silverado.

This mod allows you to have control over your headlights however the DRL's still come on in gear. The only way I could think of modifying the DRL's is to put them in parallel with a switch that would allow you to turn them on or off.
