installing fog lights

Just a quick question.

 

Im installing some fog/driving lights on my 1500 4x4. It did not come with the factory fog lights. I was wondering if I can get power for them at the fuse panel rather than running direct to positive post on battery?

Any risk in doing it this way?

You probably want to power them off an ignition source so that you don't have to remember to turn them off when you shut off the truck.

Sorry about that...............its a 2000 silverado Z71 1500.

Is there an auxilary wire I can use that powers up with the ignition or do I just have to find one?
