Puff Blue Smoke

I have a new 2005 GMC Yukon - it now has 9500 miles on it. It has the 5.3 liter V-8. I have noticed it Puffs Blue Smoke on cold starts -- it is enough that it is noticeable in the garage - and it smells. I am sure this is not normal. I did not notice this until this week. I hear it may be valve seals leaking -- what is your advice -- I will take it in - but am I looking at something serious?

That does sound like valve seals if you're sure it is blue. Wow, haven't heard that complaint in YEARS. We used to have that problem, but not in a very long time.
