Time for a tune up?

Hey i have a 02 5.3 silvy with 50000 miles on it and im noticing a rough idle and maybe a hint of sluggish acceleration. the plugs have never been changed and the fuel filter has never been changed as well as the wires. what kind of plugs should i get and should i get wires while im at it? thanx

 

ps, any help in performance would be sweet thanx

Definitly get rid of those plugs and put in some new AC/Delcos. Might want to flush the Death Coolant out as well, DO NOT wait for 100,000 miles!!! As for the plug wires, you will be just fine with standard stock plug wires from your local GM dealership. Fuel filter, I like the AC Delco filters, so go with an AC Delco fuel filter, and then while your at it, clean the throttle body and MAF (Mass Air Flow Sensor) as well.

WOW, 50000, on your fuel filter, no wonder it's sluggish. I put the iridium plugs and stock ac plug wires, but next time I'm gona try someone else on the plugs, my local ac store, thought, they where made out of gold.
