needing a "small" truck or SUV

I own a silverado 3500 and I want a second vehicle. I've owned alot of Chevys but all have been full size trucks so I need some advice choosing a smaller vehicle.

I want a four door, 4x4, and a towing pkg. I'll be using it mainly as a family car but would need it to pull a small boat (19ft) at times and pull a trailer containing light building materials. But most important, I'd like it to be good on gas (at least compared to a fullsized truck).

I live on a small island so the ability to haul for a long distance is not important neither is speed being that 45mph is the max. Reliability is another important factor being that there is'nt any certified GM techs where I live and the local shops are'nt all that good.

I'd say a Colorado is your best bet. A Crew Cab 4x4 satisfies most of those needs easily. The 5 cylinder engine will go the distance and give you pretty good fuel economy. I only have to fill up once every week and I drive about 25-30 miles a day to work and back.

I Colorado would work. If your looking for used the late 90s Blazers and S-10s are good. I've had a few problems with my Blazer, but nothing major that a local shop or I couldn't fix and it has 95,000 miles on it.
