Dash parts removal?

Hi,

On my 03 Yukon there are two cubby hole boxes below the a/c controls in the upper part of the console (the two cigarette lighter sockets are beside the top one). How do you get these out, and I am specifically interested in the lower larger one to install a cb radio in. Thanks for any help with this

Both of them come out at the same time. The entire section is just snapped in place. Look for the seam on the outer side of the colored bezel that surrounds the 2 bins. Insert a flat blade where the colored bezel meets the dash and carefully pry starting at the top. Once the unit comes out, disconnect the lighter/power plugs.

That worked with one minor difference - you have to also pry out the bottom of the main dash bezel at the bottom as the lip from the cubby hole box bezel goes up under the dash bezel. Thanks for the info!
