4wd groan

I have an 02 Sierra 1500 with 30,000 miles on her, I've been noticing a groan in the front axles when I put her in auto 4, any Ideas?

Everything with auto trac I have driven/ridden in has done this. I say normal.

My truck does this too. But the '03 Trailblazer didn't do it, so who knows? Maybe it's something specific to the full sizers. It hasn't affected the actual operation of anything, everybody says it's normal, and I have the GM extended warranty, so I'm living with it.

Does the Trailblazer use the same T-case as the full size? If not that is enough of a varible to explain it.

It appears that the Trailblazer uses a NVG 226, while the Silverados use the NVG 246. So maybe that's the difference.
