`07 Yukon

Went to get something fixed today, and noticed the `07 Yukon on the lot. WOW!

GM really changed things up. More refined, luxury feel now. Sat in a 4WD, and it sat really high, and firm. Not able to drive it, but I cannot imagine how it would feel. MP3 and DVD built into the stereo, steering wheel controls on the side of the wheel. They even moved the Criuse control to the steering wheel, moving it from the turn signal. Seemed very roomy, compared to a crew cab. Hope the quality is there in all aspects. And I also noticed the wonderful Arlington assembly plant sticker on the inside of the door. Former Texan here.

Drove a 2007 Yukon last Friday; honestly was not overwhelmed by it. The interior is much nicer except I do not care for the fake wood trim. The first thing I noticed when driving was that this vehicle is heavy! With the 5.3 litre it did not have much pep, but it was smooth. Adding 500 lbs makes a big difference in the performance of this vehicle. In the end; for $52,000.00 I don't think it is a good value. Rebates will come back!

The 5.3 is abit quicker on this version test have shown a drop of about .2-.4 in 0-60 times even with the heavier frame it still quick enough for it to move 0-60 in 8.5 seconds.

 I can say that I have the '07 tahoe and love it. The Yukon was not my cup of tea, as I hated the headlights. And the interior will be dependent on the color. The light tan is is just bad - but the grey and black interiors are both beautiful imo.

I was not impressed with the Yukon versus the Chevrolet - and I have always had GMC's. As far as the rebates coming back - I doubt it. They are selling really well right now - with sales that doubled over the first month. Besides, most dealers are selling them below sticker just to get them moving. I paid $46k for mine, and it listed for $52,100

Drive the truck for a while before you get so hard on it - and the 5.3 is downright peppy after 2000 miles. It really moves out well for such a big truck.

Wife and I drove an 07 few weeks ago. I was very impressed! 5.3 felt very strong and the interior rocked, aside from a few quirks that I did not like.

Love the steering wheel and controls. Guages were excellent. Seats, fit and finish were top of the line. Only the Lexus and other super-high-ends were as good or better (went to car show month ago and sat in everything I could, including 07 Tahoe).

It's going to be a hot seller...but sometime in the next year or two I'm sure GM will bring back the 0% financing and great rebates to keep them moving.
