trailer towing harness

Just wondering if any one knew how to hook up a 4 way flat connector ot a 1998 GMC jimmy. The writing on the harrnes is worn off so i can't read it. Any help would be great.

On my sons 98 S-10 there is a adapter that connects into the wiring harness at the rear of the truck in the center. Not sure if the Jimmy is the same.

There is a harness that is already there from the factory, but they don't put the 4way plug on it for some reason. the writing is worn of it.

Go to the parts store and get the adaptor that will connect in-line with the plug that is there. After you have the adaptor you will see what has to be done.

 

 

Do you have the under truck spare? If so lower the spare and see if there is a 4 wire pigtail up there coiled up. According to E-Trailers web site you have the pigtail.
