GMC Sierra chrome door molding question

Recommended Posts

Hey sorry if this is an ignorant question, I'm brand new to the truck world, but is the chrome door molding on the sierra just attached with double sided 3M tape? I want to remove it but before I do I wanna make sure there are no holes in the door. Thanks for the help.

yea, and if your looking to replace it you can buy it cheaper on www.mrtaillight.com, but as I type this I realize your probably going for the smoother look.

I'm probably one of the vew guys that prefers the molding. I'd like to get some of the SS molding for mine.

I have one more question relating to this matter. The emblems on the tailgate, are those also just stuck on with double sided tape?

And Mike, yes I do like the smooth look :banghead:

Oh and on another note, when I took off the side moldings, I used a heat gun that I purchased awhile back, but the moldings had put a real fine scratch in the first layer. Went out and purchased the mothers fine scratch polish, swirl remover and hi tech yellow wax. Looks good as new now, so I suggest using that combo for the small stuff if you all didn't already know. :troll:
