I'm posting this one again as I don't have any leads so far.

I have a 2001 Yukon XL with autoride suspension and the autoride compressor does no longer work. I had my utility trailer with 1 cord of wood in it and the compressor never kicked in to level the truck. I never had any problems before. I checked all the fuses and they all look fine. I do hear a small _click_ near the compressor about 10 seconds after I start the truck (usually this is when the compressor would kick in) but the compressor never starts.

Many thanks to ChevyTech007 who pointed out which fuses I should check, but thoses fuses were all good, they were...

Again, I do hear a small _click_ near the compressor about 10 seconds after the truck starts. This leads me to believe the the sensors are working just fine as they seam to trigger some sort of _lets_go_baby_pump_me_up_ but nothing happens. I'm kinda of thinking that it is not the compressors per say that are the problem because both compressors stop working at the same time (unless there is only one compressor for both side - not sure).

I did hit a small deer the other day and had some front-end repairs ($1800 of damage), all repairs were minor and involved front-end stuff like the grill and the entire front bumper had to be replaced, along with the fog lights. Could there be some sort of connection near the front that may cause my read autoride suspenssion to stop working. I doubt, but I though I should mention it just in case.

Any Ideas?

There is only one compressor for the rear, the clicking that you hear is probbly the relay poping off due to the compressor wont work, gm has a problem with water getting suck into the compressor. Read below

with Air Auto Level Control (RPO G69)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Condition/Concern:

Automatic level control inoperative due to water ingestion.

Recommendation/Instructions:

A new automatic level control service compressor part number 10395825 has been released with improvements to protect against water intrusion. The service part improvements include:

• The internal vent solenoid has an improved water intrusion resistant coating.

• The plastic air intake box has been redesigned to prevent water entry into the compressor.

The new compressor is supplied with a hose that has the new air box attached. When you install the replacement compressor, it's important to install the complete compressor assembly, including the hose and air box. The airbox/hose and the differential breather hose are attached at the same location to the fuel tank filler neck. The attachment of these components requires a common plastic barbed "Christmas tree" retainer.

If you receive a Warranty Parts Return Request for a compressor replaced under warranty, be sure to include the old air box and air hose with the compressor when you package them for warranty return.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.

I have had my 2003 Yukon XL Denali to the dealer, because the auto level isn't doing anything. It isn't squatting, but it isn't pumping up when I hook up my boar or my big trailer. It just sags. The dealer hooked up their computer and says there are no codes so there is no problem. They are stumped. I have asked "what if the sensor isn't workng" and they say it would throw a code. I asked "what if the compressor isn't working" and they say it would throw a code and squat to the ground. Could the "water in compressor" in your post (#PIT3525A - (10/14/2005)) be my problem and the dealer's computer not get a code saying so?
