Blazer Endgate glass stuck

I have a 4.6L 2WD 2002 Blazer LS. Last weekend, I tried to open the rear hatch on it, and I heard some sort of bang, and now I can't open my rear hatch. I have no idea what could have caused this. I haven't been in a wreck or been rear ended. I tried to open it via the emergency procedures outlined in the owner manual, but that didn't work. Whenever I try to open the hatch with either the key or dash panel button, I can hear some sort of accuator or solenoid moving, but it doesn't seem to be doing anything. Anybody familiar with this problem? Thanks!
