late model wheels on first gen S-10

i recently put 2001 S-10 wheels on my 1989. they had to grind out the center bore to make them fit. did anyone else have this problem

Ive heard of this problem before ive never put the wheels on but as far as i understand yes that is a common thing to do if you want the xtreme wheels on your first gen s-10 here is some related info on it
