help getting a po700 code on 05 silverdo hd

Hi,

I bought a 2005 silverdo 2500 hd that was damaged on the left side I replaced the cab and the front sheet metal after completing this I noticed that I had a wire plugin left with no place to go. It's located on the driver side, where the fuse box is located under the hood it has 3 wires( 1 yellow, 1 green, and 1 blue). Does this actually go anywhere.

I don't know if this is the cause of the engine light being on. The mechanic told me it had a po700 code in for the transmission.

ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED.

We need more info. The code P0700 is to tell the ECM to turn on the Check Engine light. You need to have it scanned with a TECH II or EFI Live to see what code is stored in the TCM.

damaged on the left side?

NSBU switch might be junk... does the PRND321 display light up? The wires are probably part of the TCM harness, and thats why you're getting the code....because the TCM needs those wires whatever they are

The truck was damaged on the right side. The plugin I'm looking at is a 6 wire plugin with only 3 wires in it(blue, yellow, green). This is located under the fuse box under the hood behind the batery on the driver side.

Thanks,

Steph
