It's snake oil just like all the others, you put these little beads in your tank and BOOM, you will single handedly put OPEC out of business.

Somebody even uses moth balls, may be Fitch.

It solved my octane problems. I installed aWesters 89-93 Tune but no matter what brand or octane I used I had vavle clatter @ WOT I talked to Lyndon and returned the the tune when I got the new one I had the same problem So I clled Lyndon again he told me it was not the tune it was either poor quality fuel or a vale problem I desided to try the FFC and since installing it I am know able run 87 instead of 89-93 octane with no vavle clatter or loss of performance and I' get about 12 miles more out of a tank of gas. So for me it is no snake oil but to each there own.

I'm not sure what you are trying to say. But here is my interpretation (sic) you installed a chip that would give you more power if you ran higher octane fuel.

After the installation you heard something that sounded like valve clatter at WOT.

Sent the chip back, to tuner, received a replacement chip and had the same problem.

So you installed the FFC and now you can run 87 octane gas in a chipped for 89-93 octane motor and get 12 more miles to a tank full.

I would think that valve train clatter would be evident at other rpms not just at WOT.

It was more likely detonation caused by the full timing advance at WOT, in conjunction with poor gas, hot plugs, or oil deposits on the piston, spark plug or CC.

As to the gas issue, since Katrina hit the gas standards have been lowered and what is labeled as 87, 89 or 93 octane on the pump does not make it so. Even if the octane rate is correct other factors apply, additives were left out, winter blends were released early ( tends to combust easier in warm temps.) fuels from outside the country were let in that did not have to comform to our standards. This is still somewhat valid today.

So was it the FFC or was it poor gas quality or the wrong blend for that time period that reverted to normal grade quality at the time you put in the FFC?

Everbody wants better fuel milage, me include. So please don't take my remarks personnally.

That is pretty much what I'm saying. After trying all the brands and octanes around me and still had the pinging @ WOT. I tried the FFC no more pinging I to thought it might just be better gas and not the FFC so after a few tanks I diconected the FFC and filled up with 93 and the ping was back I hooked the FFC back up and the pinging was gone. Fitch claim that you can run 2 octane points lower with the FFC so I tried 87 and have no pinging and it still has alot more power than it did with out the tune. Around me the difference in in 87 & 89 is 20 cents so I'm happy and yes I'm getting about 12 miles more out of a tank. I'm not saying that you should buy one I just stating what it has done for me.

Question ?

how is the thing installed, what does it look like and is it hard to put in ??

thanks

SCott

It is easy

1. You attach the suplied hoses to the canister.

2. Mount the canister with the supplied brackets (I mounted mine to PB booster)

3. Disconect the fuel line from the fuel rail (tool suplied with the kit) and hook it to the inlet on the FFC and hook the outle hose from FFC to the fuel rail.

4. Start the engine and check for leaks that's it

It took me about 20 min.

so you mounted it under the hood ? I have an 04 burb with a 5.3. should it be the same ?
