Can anyone help to get my Suburban year model identified ?

It's sold as 1980 model, but physically it looks 1989.

I think that seller has done illegal identification change to save taxes here in Finland.

My investigation shows that original '80 model Suburban has been wrecked back in 1996.

This seller bought that wreck back then and now 2006 he re-registered that "same"

vin number in 1989 Suburban he brought from Florida to Finland in december 2005.

Reason for this is saving couple thousands of customs and taxes he otherwise have to pay importing '89 Suburban to Finland.

Now I have a risk to get charged 10.000 euros (13.000us dollars), if our goverment investigator findout this.

I need some help to get identified the correct year model of this truck.

Overhere we can change 49 % of that original vehicle without to get charged taxes again. All parts have own % value.

The seller says that he took changed only that 49% of original '80 Suburban, but I think it's not the true.

 

Can anyone tell where to find some codes for window manufactured dates for '80 and '89 models ?

How to get frame identified ? There is stampings on the driver's side frame rail, 15602296

8 242 2 S 990

 

Does it say anything of year model or date of built ?

 

Where is built sheet hidden on Suburbans?

This is conversion model and came as "one seat" model from the factory.

 

Does anyone know axle built codes and where to find those?

Ofcourse there is some hidden vin numbers on the frame and body, but don't know where those are located.

 

There is lot of parts I already get identified for '89 model, as 6.2 diesel engine, Th700-R4 transmission, front end sheet metals (forward of windshield), original date codes on water hoses, '89 windshield wiper motor. But that's not enough to get %-value over 49.

Need to get more parts identified to go over 50%, so I can give this case for police to investigate and get seller charged by court.
