Wiring question. Short? Relay? What is it?

Newbe here! :flag: Well I have lamely looked over my problem with my truck. I am tired of neglecting it so I am fixing it tomorrow. 1996 Chevy Silverado 4X4

Here's the issues. First off the turn signal relay (clicker box) was doing a weird thing a while back where it would just click on off like it would as if I had pressed the turn signal up/down to make a turn. Got pretty annoying! Regardless, I let it go.

So the clicking eventually stopped. At the exact same time I went to turn the head lights on and the head lights worked. However, all of dash lights are out, the running lights are out, turn signals don't work. But the brake lamps still work when the break pedal is pressed.

I have checked the fuses under the hood, I replaced the turn signal relay. Basically that is it. I am going to crack at this tomorrow and would like some advice on where to start or things to check. Any advice would be very much appreciated. Thanks!!!!

generally the dash and tail lights are on the same circuit.

in the Generals way of thinking, they know most people will never look at the back of their vehicle but they might notice they have no dash lighting.

you sure you checked the right fuse??

if so its probably the switch because any other problem like a short would probably blow the fuse.
