I bought this truck as a theft recovery from a friend I believe in 98 or 99. The truck was broken into 2 times but they could'nt get past the kill switch. It was stolen on the third time when he forgot to set the kill. Two years later he recieved a call from a Detective stating they had recovered his truck. Who ever stole it ripped out his new 5.7l and turbo 350 with his 208 transfercase. Put a 305c.i and a tranny from a late model gm car. Painted the exterior and interior updated the 85 grill to 91 and changed the steering column. Then registered it using a 1972 donor from a bone yard and sold it. The unsuspecting person who bought it was up to know good and was pulled over by the highway patrol who then impounded it. Anyways I bought it from him for $2,700. Shortly after engine blew the rear end went out (locked up) and grenaded at 20 miles an hour. The tranny didnt like that and failed also. So the truck sat for 4 years Ive got tired of wrenching cool truck but I bought new!

$300...Gone thru and sealed up 208 transfer case (at least the guy i bought it from

says so I didnt try it out)

$550...Rebuilt 1991 10 bolt with 456 gears

$400..* point roll bar (not installed)

$2,700....cost of truck

Spent $5,950 then some.......

Truck does need work is not running and is not smog legal in Cali. Has been sitting and here is some of the things i never finished.....will need fluids,hoses,header back exhaust, radiator needs to be pressure tested,has no A/C, Drive shaft needs to be shorten for the rear(remeber old drive train had no transfer case), front axle needs to have 456 gears installed. I would love to keep the truck but as of now I have no garage and I'm tired of wrenchin...........I want $3,000 obo for the truck!!!!!!!!!
