Fuel Module Reservoir Assembly

I am taking my 2001 Suburban in to the dealer this week for some recall work. Specifically they are replacing the "fuel module reservoir assembly." It is supposed to fix the gas guage that goes all wacky when I have a full tank, and fix a possible fire issue.

 

Does the "fuel module reservoir assembly" include the fuel pump?

 

If it doesn't, should I try and get the dealer to replace the fuel pump for a deal while he has the tank down?

Just wondering the outcome of your recall. I have a 2003 Tahoe and it sounds like the same issue I have with my fuel gauge.

The recall did fix the gas guage - it works great now.
