285/75/16's on a 99 Sierra Classic?

I want to put on some 285/75/16 BFG A/T T/A's on my truck. I know I'll probably have to trim the plastic piece under the bumper but is there anything else I should trim? My truck is a 99 Sierra Classic, the old 98 and under style. Also how wide are the stock GM Alloy 16" wheels? I was thinking about getting some 8" wide American Racing BAJA rims and tossing the stock ones.

I've got 285's on my '98, nothing trimmed, no rubbing.

Yup. As long as you stay with the factory offset, you won't have to touch a thing.

the factory gm wheels are 16x7. i have 315's on 9'' wide rims on my 91 with only a 4'' lift and no rubbing at all unless im hardcore wheelin'. its all about the backspacing on the rim. with an 8'' wide rim you shouldnt have many rubbing issues with 285's
