computer holding injector open?

shop sez the computer was holding a couple of the injectors open thus

drowning the engine in raw fuel. anyone ever heard of that happening?

i've heard of bad injectors but i haven't heard of the pcm holding them open

but almost anything is possile

'96 was when GM put that darn CMPFI system on their trucks. Chances are it wasn't the PCM but gunk holding the poppet nozzle open, and on top of that you had leaky injectors.

Yes, that definitely can happen and I have seen it happen more than once.

oooh bummer! ok i'm going to sound like a real idiot here. i've got

one of the lines from the spider here in front of me. where is the

"poppet"? in the end with the electrical connector , or, on the other

end that plugs into the cylinder?
