6l coolant sensor

Hi, I need to change my coolant sensor,I understand there are 2.one for the guage and 1 for the ECU,I need to change the sensor for the ECU.Truck is 2002 2500hd 6l gas giving me grief on cold start .Any help is much appreciated.

Theres only 1 sensor. Its on the drivers side head at the front.

 

Look at this picture.

See the brass fitting right by the head cast number??? Thats the sensor!

Hello if Jared 's out there,I changed my coolant sensor but my truck still stalls at first start cold!!!!

 

First start when cold,if the block heater is plugged in no problem,Is there another temp related sensor that will be giving me grief?A few people have told me there were 2 sensors but I only have found the one you identified.Could bad plugs be giving me a first start run trouble too?............Starting to grasp may need to go to dealer for tech 2 scan if you have no other ideas I have cleaned MAF, TB IAC checked all tubes from maf to tb,checked tps % watched obd logger while running .intake temps etc thanks in advance.

no codes,once threw a random misfire po300.......no kidding truck dies!Once before threw a maf sensor which cleared when I cleaned the sensor and reset code so?????????????

Might want to try looking for an intake leak. Maybe check out the plusg and wires too. Start to single things out.

Can you help again truck threw a po 332 code....where is the knock sensor?
