Bedrail options for 2007 Silverado

Unfortunately, the 1500 series doesn't come with side rail caps, so I'm wondering what the options are. I was planning on getting the bed lined with Line-X (under the rails), but I'm considering going over the rails or trying to find aftermarket siderails that at least somewhat match the bed rail.

Any suggestions?

I'll probably end up going with the over-the-rail spray on liner, like you mentioned. I'm wishing I went that route with my current truck. I got the spray on liner under the rail with separate bedrail caps. The caps have been a PITA with needing to redo the adhesive strips every few months or so.

That's no good. I'm also considering a soft tonneau, so that may impact my decision.

I guess I'm just a little concerned with the over the lip being somewhat susceptible to snags, or things pulling at the exposed edge, whereas an under the lip would be more protected and less likely to be interfered with. I'll probably talk to the installer to see what the finished edge looks like and how well it holds. I know that Line-X has a lifetime warranty.

I put caps on my truck i got the diamond plated My truck i bought used and the bed top was scratched up so i got the caps when i talked to the guy where i bought them he rec not using the adhesive but told me to go get some 1/8" stainless steel rivots and drill a hole on the inside and out side edges of the cap and truck and install the rivots i have to say it is the best thing i did no rusting and the caps stay on tight

Went with the over the rail Line-X and am very happy with it. $25 more than under the rail made it an easy decision.

Need pics... :flag:

These are from the cell phone, but should give you an idea of how it turned out. I'm very happy with it.

Thanks for the pics Paul. I'll probably end up doing what you did. Looks like your installer did a good job on the liner.

Looks like it to me. I had a Rhino Liner in my Jeep, so that's the only comparison I can really offer, but the quality looks as good if not better. They spent a lot of time in the prep (taping, cleaning, etc) and that usually makes all the difference.
