Trading off the 04 Hd for a new 07 classic.

Can't decide between the EC SB or CC SB. I like the EC but my concern is the long wheel base of a Crew cab.

Help me decide

i like the crew cab1 MORE ROOM BETTER ACCESS its rsre i have four adults in my truck but when i do its nice to have. I have the 8ft bed and yes parking is tough but 6 should be easy.

Get them to let you drive a CC Long Bed for a while. That CC SB will feel like a VW!

It would depend on how much parking you normally have to do. There are times I wish I had an extended cab but I do have to carry human beings every now and then and it was annoying to have to open the front doors in my Ext cab Colorado to let the backseaters out. I have a Crew short bed now and while it is a pain to park, it is possible.

If you always use the back seat get a crew. If back seat use is the exception rather then the rule get ext. cab. Personally I'd never get a short bed.

Minority opinion, but I say extended short bed. A crew is too much like a car. An extended gives you a bit of inside storage, but it doesn't go crazy. Pull out the tape measure if you want a crew. It won't fit in my garage--worbench across the back means the door would close on the tailgate. Parking in public is a bitch. Even if you're a perfect driver over half the spaces won't fit. You need a camera back there just to see what's going on. If you want to buy a car, buy a car. I like to know I'm driving a truck, not a big honking car with a trunk exposed to the elements. Just my opinion. I know most of you guys don't agree. S'OK.

I've had regular, extended and crew cabs. I prefer the creb cab. It's like having a very roomy car with a big trunk. I rather have more room than I'll use than not enough. I currently have an '05 Sierra HD (cc, lb) and just ordered the same version of the new '07 Sierra. Overall parking isn't that bad. A little tight in parking garages and you might want to make sure you have enough room in regular mall parking spaces. I usually park away from everyone anyway so this isn't a concern. On the other hand, someone going from a Civic to a truck like this might not like it.

Go crew cab! I just upgraded from an extended cab short box to a crew cab short box, and while the turning radius increased slightly, it is managable.

Still need pics of one in white??? I can try to post one. The weather has sucked lately, so I haven't taken any pics to post of my new ride.

Unless your backseat is purely for storage go for the crew cab. There's not a whole lotta length difference between a CCSB and EXSB.

Like previously stated, try parking a CCLB and you'll never complain about any other combination again

The length difference between a crew cab and an extended cab is about 6-8 inches. Not much in the general scheme of things. However, I'm with several people on here who would MUCH rather have a long box than a short box. It's just nice to not have to buy the more expensive slider hitch for a fifth wheel, or be able to close the tailgate on a 4.8 sheet of plywood and not have to tie it down.

I do not know if this is still true, but my '99 ECSB had annoying wind noise in the rear wing/vent windows. The other thing was that the long seal over the doors fell down when the truck was about 6 mo.'s old. It was glued back in place by the dealership, but I never was convinced that some of the noise wasn't from this repair.
