2004 k3500 dually tires

I want to upgrade from my stock LT215/85R16E tires on a 04 dmax dually. I know I can go to Rickson and spend 4K on 19.5's but don't want to go to that expense. I'd like to stay with the 16" wheels and up the tires size a little. I think I would have to but spacers between the rear wheels to keep a larger tire from rubbing together. Anyone have any info or sites I could check out?

No sites, but you're correct in assuming you'd need spacers to keep the rear tires from rubbing together. I've seen many, many duallys that had wider tires and the rear tires were rubbing together. This causes the sidewalls to weaken and leads to blowouts. I've seen a few duallys where both duals on one side failed and nobody could figure out why til they looked at the other side.
