envoy replaced by arcadia

i dont know if this has already been mentioned or not, but the service manager at my local gmc dealer told be he got confimation that the envoy will be replaced by the acadia. he didnt know when the last envoys would be made.

Also there are no more 7 passanger TB/Envoys You'd need to get the Tahoe or the Arcadia to get a 7 passanger. Which it stupid, IMHO.

According to one of the rags GM isn't officially replacing the envoy with the acadia and they'll be sold side by side for a couple years but the GMT360 variants are scheduled to bow out in 2009.

That's my understanding.

But since this is GM, they could still change their mind. It will depend on how well the Envoy sells now that the Acadia is available.

What do Envoy owners not like about the Acadia?

Buy an Acadia, you'll keep me working here in Lansing Michigan where their made , i know they do have more room, and i've only heard good things so far. Crossovers are the new "craze" if you will since GM has phased out the mini vans for these more sportier SUV's, wasnt sure about them at first but looking at them for 9+ hours a day, i have grown to like them.

Very true. GM has a way of prolonging old models if they keep selling.
