Tranny Slipping From 2nd To 3rd

I HAVE A 04 SIERRA 2500hd with 6.0 and 4:10 rear my problem is on cold mornings the tranny feels like its slipping or getting hung up and wont completely shift but when warm it shifts fine I had the tranny replaced about 6 months ago under warranty and then a month later they had to replace the converter because it was shuddering and there was a bulliten on it so what could be my problem now?
