Bulid Date Today, Now What?

So my dealer told me my truck was built today! I ordered it on the 22nd of feb. I live about 4 hours away from Oshawa where they build it i guess, how long does it take to get from Finished truck to dealer? couple of weeks??

Yeah, couple weeks sounds right. How do you know it was built is Oshawa? Mine was built in Mexico.

I was under that impression also. I have since heard all of the VortecMax's are built in Mexico, not sure if that's true or not though.

I am 3 hours from the oshawa plant.....took 6 days from the build date to get to my dealership

Wow, if you ordered Feb 22 that makes ~9 weeks until the truck was built. Did the dealer give you the usual "6~8 weeks" line when you ordered? I'm at almost 7 weeks on my order with no news yet.

MY dealer actually did say it would be may 24 th or so, but man, its been a looooong time!!!!!! I was just hoping it would be sooner.

I wonder what criteria determines which plant builds your truck? My Avalanche is only built in Mexico, so that was a no brainer. But my 04 Silverado was built in Canada, while my father's was built in Mexico. Both trucks were practically identically equipped, except that my truck was solid blue, while his was a two tone red over gold. He seemed to think that was what made the difference on that model year (two tone or not).
