I am thinking of getting the black bolt-over billet grill from carriage works. All I can find for nbs trucks are pictures of the polished ones. Anyone on here with an nbs Sierra and a black billet grill? Pics?

I have heard of polished, brushed and SSTL, haven't heard they make ALL black ones. I suppose it would be easy enough to paint one though.

I like my polished one.

I checked their website and they definitely offer them in black. Your polished one looks incredible and I have considered it but I think I want something slightly more subtle. Also, my truck is black and I like the idea of the grill matching the truck but broken up by the chrome surround. If my truck was the same color as yours I would probably have gone with the polished as well.

Good point. That is the ONLY reason I chose the Chrome hood protector too. It blended with the color of the truck well. Any other color and I would have stuck with smoked. I think both grills would would sweet on your black truck though. But I would definitely stick with black for a hood protector.

BTW Nice truck!!! Black is my favorite color, by a longshot!!! My 2000 was black and I loved it....when it was clean!!! I washed that thing 1-2 times/week when I bought it, but I am 41 now and way too lazy/busy to own a black vehicle, especially in MN. So, I chose Steel Gray to hide the dirt, which it does well.

Only reason I went with black is that I got a far better deal at this one dealer and the only truck they had that matched what I wanted was black. Yes, it does look awfully good....when it's clean. I am handwashing at least twice a month and I have rejexed it make the process a little easier. How is the fit on your grill?

I've got a black GMC Sierra, and ordered the black grille. I had my wife hold it in position, stepped back to take a look, and put it right back in the box and returned it. The polished grille should be at my front door in about an hour. Once you hit the chrome surround, going back to a black grille just looks goofy. Might as well keep the stock grille in place, because from a distance, there's not much difference in appearance.

Fit is very good, perfect everywhere except it's a bit tight inside the "C" in GMC. Not an issue though, CW is by far the best brand for bolt-over style grilles.

I would very much appreciate it if you could post a pic of your truck once the polished grill is installed. If polished on black looks good maybe I'll go with it as well.

I got the CW polished grille installed after dinner this evening, then washed the beast. It's now dark out and tomorrow I've got to work late. I'll try to get a pic on my lunch hour if I have time. The grille looks absolutely great. Excellent fit, and very easy to install.

Glad you're liking it. Can't wait to see that pic.

Yes, very easy to install, after you remove the shroud on top of the radiator so you can get your hands in behind there. But that comes off very easily too.
