Boost!

Hey all,

 

I'm thinking about throwing either a supercharger or turbo on my 4.8, and had some questions;

 

First off, my engine (4.8) has about 290000 KM on it, would forced induction destroy it? It's still in amazing running condition, taken care of well I believe.

 

Secondly can any of you make a recommendation on turbo or super? And what brands are good? I'm looking for torque more than top-end speed if that makes a difference.

You high kilometerage (?) engine will be fin if you keep it simple and stay with low boost. Look at Magnacharger and don't go nuts like i did and you'll be fine. Your transmission will be the week link. Click my sig and read pages 1-2 if you want to see what i did.

Awesome truck! So whats the deal with cooling the supercharger? Can I just bolt on a charger and be good, or do I need to install like an auxillary cooler or something for the charger?

If you go with the Intercooled Magnacharger you will be all set with everything you'll need.
