Well I got my ECM and TCM back from Jesse yesterday. I installed them this morning and let me tell ya, the Vmax has really come to life. Finally from a dead stop with the traction control turned off I can burn rubber. (no rolling smoke but some rubber left behind) No more active fuel management (AFM) it has been disabled. She stays in V8 mode all of the time! (yes) Here is what I went with.

AFM disabled

100 % TM gone from ECM, and 84 % removed from TCM

Performance towing tune 89 Octane (Timing advanced 4,8,12 degrees since it changes on the fly)

Transmission shift points stock with psi increased.

WOT and 1/2 throttle 4 second delay gone.

Top speed limiter gone/

Rev Limiter raised.

The best bang 4 the buck. $125 charged for tune + 10 for shipping. $135 Postal money order sent.

So far so good 60 miles into it! Wait4me tune by Jesse Bubb :smash:

The Tm is 100% gone? I didnt know you could do that.

And I quote " 100% of TM gone from the ECM", and "84 % removed from the TCM" Not 100% removed. My bad.

He can remove all if requested.

Where did you purchase the new ECM and TCM? I was under the impression these were not yet available for the NBS! How much were they (if you don't mind me asking)?

The lady on the phone told me they didn't have the new ones for my truck yet. She said I'd have to send mine or buy there software. Software is over 1000 bucks. Did you get yours from the dealer or something? I just sent my $400 Hypertech back today. THat was crap. Double crap!!

I purchased them from the dealer. Since I purchased 2 new vehicles from this particular dealership (Camino real GMC in OC. Yukon XL slt for Wife) the Salesmen got me the modules at cost. I gave $350 for both.

I bought mine from the dealer. I agree Hypertech is trash. I felt the same way with my superchips handheld unit that I had until last week. I sold it on ebay
