Looking For New Wheels? Opinions? On 05 Suburban

Hey Guys...

So I'm debating on what wheels to put on my 2005 Suburban the color is that Real Dark Grey Metallic (almost black)

Its an LT, but I bought it smashed, and when I rebuilt it, I put all Z71 stuff on it... so its all body color up front now, door moldings removed, etc.

I think i want to go the more aggressive look, with some decent tires for mud/snow, but nothing that is going to humm down the road terribly while i'm driving.

So I was considering going with 17" wheels, but I dont' want to just put stock Z71 wheels on it. I want something that has a little more offset that fill up the wheel wells a little better.

What would you guys recommend? ANyone have similar set up on pick up or SUV?

thanks in advance

I got some 17" '07 Yukon wheels for my 2001 yukon xl, I think they look great. I got them on Ebay from a dealer that sold a new yukon and the buyer opted for nicer wheels. The tires are Goodyear Wrangler AT/S P265 70R17, pretty aggressive tread but not bad on road noise. I have gotten several comments that the wheels look sharp on the vehicle; I saw them on the new Yukon and don't think they stand out on the new body style. Anyway, they fill the wheel wells a little better, too... there are more on ebay and at tire shops, so that's a decent option for you.

sorry for the pic quality, they're phone pics...

Hey man, they look good.

SO the 07 wheels fit our trucks?

I didn't realize that... that MAY change my mind!

I LOVE the factory 20s on the new tahoes

I may hve to reconsider

Thanks, I like the new look, too... apparently the 07 wheels fit fine... do a search on here or check out this topic on this forum, other people have done similar things... one member "zembonez" has a good comment, that a little common sense goes a long way and if they physically fit and perform ok then what's to worry about?

I bought a set of wheels and tires off of a "new" 2007 GMC (six spoke wheels/Wrangler HP 265R70R17 tires) from "Craig's List" to put on my '04 Z/71. They look great and run lquite. They have the "pressure sensors" in the valve stems, also. I got them for $500 and they were ready to bolt on. You might want to go this route, I've done it a couple of times. Good luck!
