Nbs Max Tire Size With 2" Lift

Recommended Posts

In the process of installing rough country's 2" lift and possibly 1" taller blocks in the rear. I have read alot of the posts on this with relations to tire upsizing. I am going to install a set of bf goodrich at's. I know 285/65/18's will work but I was wondering if anyone has the 305/65/18's or similar?

"Daddy" has a 2" Leveling kit with 305/55-20 or so, which I believe is a 33" tire. I think a 33" or lower that is no wider than 12.5" should be fine given you put them on a propper sized wheel with propper backspacing.

Mine are actually 305/50R20's which equivalent to a 32" tire where the 285/65R18 is closer to 32.6". I have no rubbing at all and would think the 32.6" would fit but can't say for sure in all situations. As for the 305/65R18's, that's a 33.6" tire and would be EXTREMELY tight if they fit.

I have the BFG All-Terrain T/A KO's size LT285/70R17 which is 32.8" and they do rub when cutting the wheel and backing up. I actually had to change mudflaps because the wheel wells on the NBS trucks are alot smaller them classic style. I am hoping that with a 2" lift they will fit better and not rub as much.
