Removing Bose Xm Radio/cd Unit From 2006 Silverado

Previous post helped me remove dash. thanks!

Not clear how to remove radio to get to cabling harnesses to install IPOD interface.

Undoing just the radio screws...not enough slack in cables to pull unit out.

Tried undoing the four screws holding the larger subsystem (radio and ventilation control)...however that did not budge at all.

I've not used force (logic and patience seems easier if longer). Some trick to release cables?

Thanks

I've read other people say that the cables are very short. On my 04 Avalanche I was able to get mine out far enough to get my hands behind it and pull the connectors out. There was only 3 screws holding the radio. If there isn't enough slack then you can take out the heater controls and try and reach up from under the radio and get the connectors undone.
