Speedometer Creaking

I have 1994 gmc sierra 4X4 PU, just put a new motor in, when i accelerate I hear a creaking noise until I hit about 45mph when i decelerate and come to a stop the creak stops. Thought it was a speedometer cable, but found out its all electronic, any ideas??
