Crew Cab-rear Door Lock Problems

Hi, I'm hoping someone out there can help as I am past warrantee mileage. I have a 2004 Sierra Crew Cab 1500 and my rear door locks keep failing using the electric switch or remote and the 20 amp fuse is found to be blown. It took me a while to even realize this was happening, as you always hear the clunk sound when you lock the doors and assume the rears are locking too. Replacing the fuse only makes the locks work again for a few weeks, then it happens all over again. I have tried replacing both door lock relays, only the problem still returns eventually. I don't think it would be the solenoids as both rear doors quit working at the same time. This is obviously a security and safety issue thats driving me nuts. Please help!!!!!!

  Wow. If that's true it would explain why nobody's getting back to me. I just saw the 2027 today. I don't like the new front end. The headlights are butt ugly. Well, I guess I keep that ~$40k or so in the bank. Should buy a ton maintenance on my '14 for now. Not what I want, but knew this might be a long shot.

  Ive been a chevy man for 55+ years now and I'm probably on my last truck. i bought a 2021 Silverado new with the 2.7 turbo. great truck and i like the 4 banger, a lot of power, surprising. Ive read that 200,000 miles is the lifespan and im hoping thats BS. i also have read the newer v8 engines are having issues like blown engines, top end frailer im wondering if anyone has heard of a 2.7 with more than 200,000 on it

  If I can get a local dealer to take me seriously, and they could get me this build, I'd be all over it. I've talked to 3 different local Chevy dealers about it. Still waiting for a significant interest/follow up from any of them.

  Here's the 2026 order guide - Vehicle Order Guide RPO code "AS3"? Not seeing it. What is it supposed to be? I see AS3 used a long time ago as some sort of seat option, but its not applicable to the current Suburban. I see RPO code "AZ3" which is 1st row 40/20/40 split bench. That is only on LS trim, which LS can't option any of the trick suspension. 2nd row bench power fold RPO code is "ATT". So your dealer should be able to sort their locator to find matching builds by searching the combo of ATT and Z95 combined to find a 2nd row power fold with MagRide. You can do the 2nd row power bench AND have MagRide, or Mag with Air on Z71, RST and High Country. Here's a Z71 with 2nd row power bench and the Z71 Off Road Package which adds the Adaptive Air and MagRide - 2026 Suburban | Details | Vehicle Locator Here's an RST with 2nd row power bench and the RST Capability Package, and RST Capability adds the Adaptive Air with Magride - 2026 Suburban | Details | Vehicle Locator I can't find a High Country, but you can do it on there. Requires the 6.2, and the Sun and Tow pack which allows you to then option the 2nd row power fold. Black interior only. High Country comes standard with MagRide and you can order the air if you get the High Country Deluxe, but Deluxe will take you to captain 2nd row. You can do it at GMC on the AT4 and the regular Denali (not Ultimate) as well.
