Takes forever to pop, but it will start eventually. It got a new fuel pump last year.

I am thinking fuel pressure regulator?

Also if it is, how hard to change?

thanks

Regulator is inside the upper manifold attached to the injector unit. First hook up a fuel pressure tester and see if you loose pressure. The fitting is located on the fuel feed line to injector body driver's side of the dist cap. Install fuel pressure tester and crimp the return line to the tank. Turn key to on position but do not start vec. Watch fuel pressure to see if it drops down in a steady fashion. Should go to 60psi and fall from there. Some drop is normal but if the system doesn't have a leak if should stablize around 55 or 50psi. If it does drop alot there is a updated injector unit which includes the pressure regulator and bracket, because it's possible that a injector line is leaking to. Get the updated unit because the injector are far superior and will improve your fuel milage trust me. good luck

Are you talking about there is a new updated line and regulator that mounts "outside" of the plastic intake? I am guessing you still have to pull the plastic intake to retro fit the newer style correct? I have never seen one if so were do you buy these?

Thanks
