2007 Gmc Z71 Ride Height Questions

OK,

 

I have a stock height 2007 GMC Sierra Classic Z71 e/c.

 

Anyhow I am considering a lift, I'd just like to be at Ford / Dodge ride height. My Truck has 265 / 75 R 17's I was hoping to keep these tires for now [assuming they wouldn't look stupid.] When they are getting close, I'd go for some bigger rubber then.

 

What do you think about 4" [leveled] with the tires? Including my future plans...

 

Which manufacturer would you recommend?

 

Rancho? Skyjacker? Pro Comp?

 

As you might be able to tell, I've never had a lift before.

i dont think that there is a leveling kit that is 4'' but you can go with a rancho suspension lift which they say is 4'' but its about 5.5'' or you can go with a CST lift and its about 4.5'' and is much cheaper around about 1000.00 not to bad. CST heard alot of good things about there lifts and you will be able to keep the factory tires with you want or just add bigger tires to factory rims. Check they out they have a pic of a z71 with a 4.5 lift on the site.
