03 Z71 - Will 305/70/16 On 16x10 Wheel ?

Hey everybody - I'm new here and love this site. I've been long time player on LS1.com and now I found this place.

 

Anyway - 03 z71 stock suspension, looking to go with 305/70/16 on 10 inch rims - or - 325/60/18. I'm pretty sure the height is OK as I have 285s now with no prob. I'm thinking the width may be an issue.

I used to have 305/70/16 on 10in rims with a 3in body lift and they would rub a little if i hit a bump or was backing up with the wheel cranked all the way. the more aggressive the tire the worse it will probably be too. I dont think i would try it without any kind of lift.

You will definately need a lift to fit 305s. Especially on 10" wide wheels!

thing is, is that it's not the hieght you go it's the width of your fender wells. thats why when you lift a avalanche 6" you can only run tires close to 33"s cause the height is there but not enough room from the bumper to your fender
