Time For Brakes.

I'm ready to put new rotors and pads the whole way around my truck, and after the luck I've had with Bendicks and the cheap pads on my truck I want to buy something good. The pads on my truck have glazed the rotors completely, and I have tried getting them cut, but the aweful squeak comes back again. I have been looking at Raybestos pro grade rotors and Raybestos Quiet stop ceramic pads.. I wouldn't mind drilled and slotted rotors, but I am trying to stay under $500. What do you guys think would be best?

I went with Rotorpro's for my F250 about 6 months ago, and absolutely love them. They will for sure be my first choice when I need a set for the GMC.

Slotted and drilled rotors with their low/dust pads shipped to my house, cheaper than it would have cost me to replace them with stock Ford stuff. Stops the truck better than I could have imagined. Unbelievable difference.

I heard about them over on FordTruckWorld forums, and at the time they were offering discounts to forum members. I BELIEVE that the offer was good to Chevytruckworld forum members as well. Might be worth checking out, especially since becoming a member is free!

I e-mailed rotor pros for a quote.. I hope theyre in my price range!

They said $380 for me with all four corners with slotted rotors and low dust pads. I just am worried about sending the paypal payment.

Paypal is safer than giving them a credit card number over the phone. ANY issues, and Paypal takes care of it. I used paypal to pay them, and use paypal anytime I can for my internet transactions. I've never had a problem. Paypal protects both sides of the transaction.

Peruse FordTruckWorld or ChevyTruckWorld forums and search for rotorpros. You'll see dozens of saitisfied customers that used rotorpros and paypal to close the deal. The shear number of happy customers on those two forums is the number one reason that I went with Rotorpros. Never dealt with a better outfit.

at least make sure you get ceramic pads

Ceramic pads for these trucks are overkill (IMO), and will only annoy you with the noise when they glaze over. For ceramic pads, the brakes need to get VERY hot, and these trucks just don't do it. They just don't get driven hard enough. I know too many people that got the ceramics, and within 6 months were removing them.

I couldn't be happier with the low-dust pads that rotorpro's suggested.

As for the Hubsize, I'm not sure about that one. It should be easy enough measure though.

Ok I just got off the phone with them. They said that the 4.63" measurement is for 2500 non HD's, so I didnt even have to measure them. I prefer how they sell their pads and rotors as a set, because I know that the pads are not too hard for the rotors so they wont squeak. Ive had this truck for a year and a half and I have listened to ear peircing squeaking everyday, and i finally have the cash for brakes, so I hope I made the right choice...
