Price Quotes On Lifts

Well we all know that I work at Toyota, I found out today that they can order lifts, wheels, and tires for me with their discounts, 10% over cost. I am guessing that is pretty good. So I am going to post up what the price quotes are and see what you guys think. I would like some feedback.

Package #1:

6" Pro-Comp lift with Auto-TRAC and MX6 shocks

325/60/R20 Pro-Comp Xtreme T/A

20x10 Diamo 17 Karat wheels

Total: $3933.99

Package #2:

6" Pro-Comp lift with Auto-TRAC and MX6 shocks

325/60/R20 BF Goodrich T/A

20x10 Diamo 17 Karat wheels

Total: $4336.28

How does these prices sound? I really want package #2, but the price of package #1 is just so lovely. Anyone have experiences with the Pro-Comp tires?

325s?!? those are wide. Make sure you have the correct offset for your wheels though so it will work with the lift kit. I found that out the hard way :D . Rims look good. I put the pics up so people don't have to search for them. That is weird how the Pro Comp tires are cheaper than the BFG. When i priced out tired for my truck the Pro Comps were way more expensive. I guess they have a higher mark up. :fume: Im guessing you are going with the BFG all Terrains?

I actually want your rims, but Toyota doesn't have a supplier who sells MKW's. Also the reason the Pro-C a lot cheaper is because our dealership does a lot of business with Pro-Comp suppliers so, thats probably what I will go with. I am not so sure yet. But are the prices good? I want the 325, cause I love wide tires. I had 305/70/R16 and I miss the width when I went to 285's. So I think I will like the 13.5" width. Who knows.

And thank you for posting up the pictures, I forgot to do so.

Yeah, do you find that with the wider tires the truck wanders more in slush and mud? Wide tires do look tough though but there are clearance issues. As for prices I am not sure. Im up here in Canada so its different. The stuff I bought I got internal pricing so like 10% off.

When I price everything out it went like this.

6" Pro Comp lift not sure on what shocks is $3500 w/ front driveshaft. 12 Hour estimate

4" CST was $2600 with $1200 Labour.

3" Performance Accessories Body Lift $300 plus $1100 Labour.

Per Tire

285/65r20s BFG all terrains are $400+

Pro Comp 35" all terrains were like $475

Pro Comp 35" Mud terrains were $600

MKW M-26 was umm $1700 for all 4

My GM CK945s were $700 per rim..

Your Prices are probably without labour and alignment eh?

Damn that is expensive. I never realized how expensive all this was. And yes it is without labor. I don't know what I am wanting to do now.

Yeah, its an expensive addiction. You can't forget the little things they add up. Shop labour here is 75 an hour.

Yeah well you still can, just have to save up or do it yourself. I got the dealer to do it because I didn't have time to work on my truck and I already waited 2 months for it.

look around for a 4 wheel parts store near where you live, they deal with the ProComp lifts which I personally think are junk. I would go BDS or Fabtech for quality or CST if your looking to go 4".

Well I despise Fabtech and I have never heard of BDS. And a no go with the CST 4" I need the inches.

I had a 6" Procomp on my '04 and beat the hell out of it. I couldn't break it! The bone-head who posted above has probably never even owned one of their prods so I wouldn't listen to what he has to say. As for the price, I paid $1300 for the kit and $400 for the install, which was a pretty good deal.

Thank you for your input. What exactly could you say you did to it, to beat the hell out of it? I am just wondering. Also what size tires were you running?

I am saving $150 a week for the next 6-7 months to get exactly what I want. It should time in perfect with Christmas so I could get some help from the parents.

EDIT: I found out why the prices were a little cheaper. Its the Diamo K17 in black. Which look good though, especially with my truck color.

I have the 6" Procomp lift with the Mx-6 shocks on my Silverado and love it. The dealership that I work at did the install and the gears(4.88 front and rear) for $1500

First off it's not a good way to start your experience on this forum calling people bone-heads when it's your very first post. I'm not getting into a name calling situation with someone like you so I'll keep my personal thoughts to myself, as for my opinions on ProComp lifts your right I have never owned any of their products and for good reasons. several of my close friends have had their basic lift kits and had problems and told me to stay away from ProComp. I hate how ProComp has stage 1 and 2 kits, the stage 1 kit uses a 6" spacer on top of the strut instead of supplying new taller struts so your already getting screwed when it comes to the price your paying for the kit and then for the rear they give you a block to "stack" on top of your factory block which most companies do not recommend and do not include an add a leaf. most of the local GM dealers around where I live have a few brand new trucks on their lots with the ProComp lifts on them so I stopped to check them out when I was doing research on which lift to go with on my truck. at a distance the trucks sit about the same but when you get down and look closely at the ProComp lift compared to my BDS lift you can see the quality difference along with the better quality of the powder coating on the parts. I'm sorry if I have offended anyone who owns a ProComp lift and it was not my intentions of doing so but I was simply giving my suggestions to someone looking to buy a suspension kit and was voicing my opinion. If you own a ProComp lift kit and are happy with it then good for you, we are all going to think/suggest that whichever kit we have on our trucks is the best but it comes down to doing some research and choosing whichever kit suits you best. I chose BDS because of my great experiences with them in the past along with their NO FINE PRINT LIFETIME WARRANTY and awesome customer service.

Oh and to finish answering the original question about cost, I paid $1500 even out the door including tax for my 6" BDS High Clearance kit with the add-a-leafs and installed it myself to save the extra money which went towards the cost of my tires.
