Truck Bed Slots Or Extrusions

Forgive me if this is a stupid question,

But in my truck bed there is slots or extrusions that look like they are for wood boards or something to maybe stop cargo from moving around? Is that what those formed slots are for?

I tried searching the net for pics of how people used them but i couldnt find anything

Yes, that's what those slots on each side of the wheel well are. You can put 2x10s in them to segment the bed.

I used cargo netting that attaches across from one side to the other, its double, so groceries, misc whatever go slip in between and not go anywhere.

only time there's suppose to be groceries in a truck is sitting in the passenger seat so they are all easily reached to be all consumed before you get home or wherever

Yeah, and they better only consist of munchies and beer. :D

Every time I've dropped a 2x8 in there, SOMEBODY has looked at at, looked at me, and said "you're a damn genius".

To which I promptly reply: "well DUH, but I didn't invent that crap, and your truck has them too"

To which they reply: "hurrrrrrrrr"
