tonight a guy pulled up next to me and revved his truck up and squeled his tires to get my attention at a stop light....

 

so as soon as the light turned green i punched it and if im lying im dieing, but we were perfectly neck and neck all the way up to 60, and then he slowly pulled away and he got me..... but i think my ol' girl kept up pretty well... lol i prolly would have had him on a highway but i had to turn pretty quick to drop the girlfriend off...

 

im not sure if it was a 03 but it was the newer headlights with the sharp angles thats how i could tell how old it was it couldve been 03-06 im not sure, and im guessing it was a 5.3.... it was a ext cab short box...Z71...

If she wasn't in the truck, you should've taken him. 350 pounds will slow the truck down considerably.

no but i raised the speed limit on my tuner thats the only reason why...

i HIGHLY doubt it..... im almost 100 % sure it was a 5.3 ..... to tell you the truth i have NEVER seen a 4.8 L silverado in my entire life... or at least not around here....

 

i didnt think they made a 4.8 L Z71? or they might idk

I've seen some Z71 4.8L, did it have a tow package?

That's cool bro, I believe you. Nice truck you got there, I was going to get an OBS like yours in 2006, but I found a 2006 Silverado for a good price. But I like how the OBS trucks look, and your looks really nice and taken care of. Keep it looking clean bro.

Curious, how can you tell wether a truck has a 4.8 or the 5.3? In other words, how do you know you haven't seen one around town?

 

On a side note. You can get an 08 4wd ext with a v6!! I've seen OBS 4wd with a v6 as well.
