Intermittent Electrical System Issue

sometimes, twice it was too short too realize what happened. Then, I had no power when I got in...no dome light, no buzzer with key in ign. and door open...until I stomped on the brake pedal.

Last night, I was running down the road and everything died, suddenly. No lights, head or dash, no stereo, no nothing- dead engine.

I turned off the main road, pumped the brakes a couple times before, then after...all of a sudden I had lights and electrical power. Put her in neutral and re-started the engine, drove the last 1/4mile home....

 

'99 GMC Savana, 2500 cargo, 5.7l "Vortec", 4-spd auto, Cruise, tilt, Frt AC, no other convenience stuff, no rear hvac. Aftermarket stereo, installed by the seller...

I was a dealership mech. 77-84, now an Electronic Tech for 23 yrs....talk to me.

Are there any service bulletins relating to this? I plan to call the dealers Friday....
