I am picking up my '08 Vortex Max CC 4x4 1LT w/big tow package today. I am trading my '05 Titan in. I have a 7000+ lbs camper that i'm towing and the Titan couldn't handle it very well(not equipped w/ heavy tow package). I hope that the new truck will handle it better with the 10,400 lbs towing capacity. i already have a Firestone Ride Rite on the way b/c i had ordered it for the Titan and it was backordered so i called and changed the part numbers to get it for the Chevy. I look forward to exchanging info on this forum.

Definitely an ungrade from a Titan to a Silverado  . Good for you, and as soon as you can, post some pictures of the new truck.

Cheers.

By the way....I forgot to mention that the Titan was my first stray from a Chevy for my daily driver. I have had 2 '00 Z71 LS with 5.3l, an '02 Tahoe LT, and an '04 Silvy 2 wheel drive. I also have an '07 2500HD 6.0 4x4 as a company vehicle. Glad to be back in a Chevy.

I was a little disappointed in the bottom end torque on the test drive in the VMax but from reading here i'm guessing that can be taken care of by a programmer. Is this true?

yep, better yet, have it tuned professionally and you will get the best results. Handhelds do not remove all of the Nannies. I had my Vmax tuned and it's a completely different truck now.

Congrats!

Just got home with the new ride. Man that thing has a great ride, can't even tell its a 4x4. The wife is even enjoying it (a big plus). Gonna take it on its first road trip tomorrow to New Orleans and i'm looking forward to see how it handles on the highway.

Gonna post some pics as soon as i get a chance.

Thanks for the warm welcome!
