Blower Only Works On #5 Setting Now ?

On my 04 burb. The frt blower switch just stopped working on all settings but high 5. All else is OK.

Is it just the switch and can I change it easy ??

It's the blower motor resistor (about $40 at a dealer). It's located under the passenger side dash. You'll need to remove the four 6mm(i think) screws to remove the kick panel, the remove the resistor from the blower.

 

Should take about 20 minutes to change.

What does it look like this resister ? Are we talking an actual resister ?

It is next to the blower motor. There are two screws that hold it in with some wires coming out of it.
