Do anyone know how need a 6,2 ltr diesel have to use the oil cooler , or can it just go by? The pipes goes hole in all the time. Cold clima in Norway maybe thats why...

Sorry for bad English, but I try the best I can. Hope I can get any ide's..

I'm guessing GM installed oil coolers on the diesels because they are designed as more of a work truck than the average truck, most bought them with intentions of towing and using them harder than average. It depends how you use your truck. If you don't tow or haul heavy loads where the extra cooling would be required, you may be able to get away with bypassing it. The cold climate you live in will help, as the coolers were probably intended for vehicles used in hot climates. have you tried to obtain a better grade of hose/fittings, you may be able to use an industrial type hose like what is used on commercial trucks or heavy equipment, it may provide better service. I don't know what is available in your area but they could probably be ordered and sent to you.

If you are "blessed" with a 6.2 or 6.5 and need to keep it on the straight and narrow, consider subscribing to www.thedieselpage.com where others with similar callings worship.
