Installed the E3 Diamond Technology Spark Plugs this morning... The one plug near the passenger side firewall was a uncle sam to get to!!! I started her up and took a two minute ride to make sure everything seemed to be running okay...Hey, atleast it started :fume: I go to a all Pontiac Car Show in Lancaster PA Saturday and afterwards a little shopping in the Amish lands...That should be a nice trip for the ole Sierra...She is filled up with 91 Octane, Marvels Mystery Oil added, check air in tires, friday I'll give her a bath and should be ready to go Saturday!!!!

I'll see if there is any MPG difference if I can keep my foot out of the gas!!!!

Chris,

I have heard of several tricks to help with that right rear plug. I have found the following to work the best.

1) A milk crate to stand on if you are under 6 ft. I am 6'2" so this was not needed.

2) A long handled 3/8 drive flex head ratchet

3) A 1" extension with the plug socket

This puts the socket and ratchet right at the point of contact on the plug and seems to work best. Some people use a long extension with a universal joint on the end. To me, I cannot feel what I am doing and worry about breaking the plug off or stripping something.

I will be interested to hear what you think of the plugs.

I would be very interested in your results as well. I want to do the very first tune up on my '01 Tahoe here pretty soon.

Yea, I used the ole craftsman 1" extension with the plug socket on that one. Im 5'11" and I used a small step stool and threw the ole FLOWMASTER fender well protector on. Once I was able to squeeze my forearms through everthing after they got nice and sweaty(that helped) I was okay.

My forearms feel like I was in a fight with a cat! and my ribs ache a little tonight from see-sawing on the fender  I did do the right side first while I still had lots of energy. I did have to wipe the engine bay down to mop up all the sweat I dripped all over while leaning in there for that $%^ @#$ plug! I'll post up Saturday night after my trip on how everything ran. When I cranked her up for the small trip out the road, she was purring like a **** cat, nice and smooth!

You know, no matter what plugs I try, I never see any difference.

Johnny Cash will always be the man, Nice avatar. Yea, I know. Maybe I'll get her dynoed one day to see what numbers she puttin' to the rear wheels and compare it to some stock numbers! To get an idea with all the mods what Im puttin' out now.

If anything but brand new Chevy parts go back into that thing, I will be sorely dissapointed!

I would have to place my money on any increase in mileage won't be because of the plugs. If they could really add mileage, wouldn't they be OEM on every car in the country?

(Not to rain on your plug parade...enjoy them!)

Read my post above. The right rear plug is really no big deal as long as you have the tools I listed.

Don't get me wrong, it is much more dificult than the other 7 but my 9 yr old son could replace those 7 with a little help.

You'll have to keep us posted on your find. I myself use nothing but ac-delco ignition parts. My Chevy likes them.
