Factory Radio Reset Codes

hey people. I'm new to the forum. just joined today.

I have a 2001 GMC sonoma with a factory radio. had some problems with the factory theft system. it did something with the radio. all it says is LOC. I'm sure i'm not the onlyone with this prob. the search doesn't bring anything up. Any of you have a walk through or some type of description as to how t fix this. I was told by the dealer ship tha it was a complex job and i was betteroff letting them do it. but if this happens again I don't feel like taking the trip to them everytime this happens. any help would be great.

Yeah. Having your first post to a site be asking how to defeat the theft-loc on a stereo is not likely to get much trust or response. I'm just sayin...

true. but it can't hurt to ask. I usually just figure it out myself. but this ones got me. I needed to ask for assistance on this one.

It says in the manual, but if you didn’t set the password initially you will need to go to the dealer.

Tide with bleach or Clorox colorsafe. hot wash, warm rinse, hang to dry and throw in dryer on cold jsut to fluff
